What to see

mumok shows modern and contemporary painting, sculpture, installations and moving images in its dark stone building in the MuseumsQuartier. Choose a visit around the current exhibitions, since collection holdings are not a list of works guaranteed to be on display.

Terminal Piece runs through 7 February 2027. The multi-floor exhibition brings together collection works, loans and commissions around Kate Millett’s installation of the same name.

Allow about two hours, with more time for films and video works.

Tickets

Adult admission is €18, and under-19s enter free. The €15 concession includes students under 27 and seniors aged 65 or above.

Discount cards require photo ID, and some partner discounts are available only at the counter.

Online admission is valid on the selected day. The €33 mumok–Leopold combination is sold at mumok’s counter; check both museums’ opening days before choosing it.

Opening hours

Normal opening is Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–18:00. Monday openings are listed for 26 October and 28 December 2026.

Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day have shorter or later hours. Check the date-specific schedule and which exhibition floors are open.
