What to see

MAK’s collections include furniture, textiles, ceramics and other applied arts. Vienna 1900 brings art and design together through objects and interiors.

Allow about two hours for selected galleries, or more for a temporary exhibition.

Design Lab closure

The Design Lab, including the Frankfurt Kitchen and Helmut Lang Archive, closes for redesign from 2 November 2026. Reopening is planned for 8 June 2027.

This closure does not cover the whole museum.

Tickets

Adult admission costs €18 online or €19 onsite, and under-19s enter free. The Tuesday evening ticket is valid from 18:00 to 21:00 and costs €8.50 online or €9.50 onsite.

The digital audio guide is free; tours are optional. An adult combined ticket with the Leopold Museum costs €34.

Check the combination’s terms before buying separate tickets.

Address and opening hours

The main MAK is at Stubenring 5, near Stubentor. Normal opening is Tuesday 10:00–21:00 and Wednesday to Sunday 10:00–18:00.

It closes on Mondays except public holidays.
