What to see

The main ALBERTINA, near the opera, combines modern painting, changing exhibitions and palace state rooms. The Batliner Collection is a good starting point for modern art; drawings, prints and photography appear in the changing programme.

Check the exhibition list if you are coming for a particular artist or drawing, since the full collection is not always on display. Allow two to three hours, or longer for several temporary exhibitions.

Tickets

Adult admission is €20.90, and under-19s enter free. A standard advance ticket allows one entry within a year of purchase.

It covers the main ALBERTINA only.

The €29.90 combined ticket allows one visit each to the main museum, ALBERTINA MODERN and Klosterneuburg within a year, including on different days. Check Klosterneuburg’s seasonal opening before buying for all three.

Audio guides and live tours are optional extras. The Tiqets main-museum admission ticket is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

Online tickets can still involve a wait outside.

Opening hours

The main ALBERTINA normally opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00, with Wednesday and Friday opening until 21:00. These late evenings do not apply to ALBERTINA MODERN.
