The Capitoline Museums contain monumental fragments, ancient portraits and the paintings of the Pinacoteca Capitolina. The galleries occupy connected buildings around the Campidoglio.
Use the room plan to include the picture gallery, and allow around two and a half to three hours.
Through 1 November 2026, adult admission for non-residents is €16.50 for the museum and Angeli, plus €1 for advance booking. This ticket excludes the separately ticketed Diego Rivera exhibition at Villa Caffarelli.
An exhibition-only ticket does not include museum admission.
The museum-only base price is €15, but the price after 1 November depends on the exhibition programme. Advance official tickets cannot be refunded or changed.
Since February 2026, residents of Rome and the Metropolitan City qualify for free museum admission with the required proof. Other concessions and MIC card arrangements may apply.
The seven-day Capitolini Card covers the Capitoline Museums and Centrale Montemartini. Check exhibition supplements and separately ticketed shows before buying the card or another admission ticket.
Ordinary hours are 09:30–19:30 daily, with last entry at 18:30. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve have shorter hours; Christmas Day is closed.
