Centrale Montemartini displays ancient sculpture and mosaics inside a former power station, alongside its machinery. The museum is in Ostiense, south of the central palace galleries.
Allow around ninety minutes to two hours, plus travel time.
Through 15 November 2026, adult museum admission with Moda in luce costs €14.50, plus €1 for advance booking. The museum-only base price is €11, but exhibition dates can change the ticket required.
Under the current tariff, residents of Rome and the Metropolitan City with valid proof, and valid MIC card holders, enter free. The resident concession includes the listed exhibition.
Advance official tickets cannot be refunded or changed.
The seven-day Capitolini Card covers Centrale Montemartini and the Capitoline Museums, with an adult base price of €15.50. Temporary exhibitions can require supplements at either museum, and separately ticketed shows need checking.
The Capitolini Card is different from the Roma Pass and the local MIC card.
The entrance is at Via Ostiense 106. Ordinary hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00–19:00, with last entry at 18:00.
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve have shorter hours. Mondays, 1 May and Christmas Day are closed.
